How can Spotify spread positivity by using technology to bring listeners closer to the creators and communities they love?

THE APPROACH

Music sharing and discussions lack a dedicated platform.

Spotify Hubs curates virtual and physical spaces where users can connect and share their passion for music. Through the in-app feature, users join curated Hubs filled with feed posts, mood updates, and music recommendations, with options for real-life meetups.

AI algorithms invite users to join Hubs based on geographical proximity (or distance) and listening habits, fostering diverse yet compatible groups. This AI-driven approach enhances social connections by bringing together like-minded listeners while encouraging genuine human interaction.
